Ohm's law

The relationship between Voltage, Current and Resistance in any DC electrical circuit was discovered by the German physicist Georg ohm. According to ohm's law, at a constant temperature, the current is directly proportional to the voltage and inversely proportional to the total resistance of the circuit.

I = V / R t

I = Current

V = Voltage

Rt = Total Resistance

What will be the current in this circuit?

By using Ohm's Law

I = V / R

I = 12 V / 10 Ω

I = 1.2 A

Clearly, current in the circuit is 1.2 Ampere.

Note:

Alternatively, voltage or resistance of the circuit can be find out by knowning other two values.
