Maximum Power Transfer Theorem

Basically, power is supplied from a source to a load. As shown in the figure, a generator with internal resistance R_i supplying power to a load resistance, R_L. Maximum Power Transfer Theorem tells us at what load (R_L = ? ) maximum power will be transferred from the source to the load.

Explanation

Calculating the value of load resistance, R_L for which maximum powe will flow to the load. Also calculate the maximum power transfer efficiency, ie, the power transmission efficiency whien maximum power is transferred.
