Magneto Motive Force

Magneto Motive Force are well known as MMF The force which establishes the magnetic flux in a magnetic circuit is called Magneto Motive Force. Magneto Motive Force is very much similar to Electro Motive Force (e.m.f) is an electrical circuit.

When Magneto Motive Force is produced

The magneto motive force is produced when a current passes through a coil of wire. The magneto motive force is produced when opposite poles of two magnets are seperated by few inches. Simply, Magneto motive force is produced, whenever the magnetic field is created. i.e) MMF is a source for creating magnetic field.

What is meant by Static device

A device is said to be a static device when its performance cannot be altered once it is designed. E.g) Transformer.

Calculating Magneto Motive Force

The magneto motive force is the product of the number of turns of the coil and the current through the coil. The unit of mmf is Ampere turns (A.T) MMF is represented by the letter F.
