# Ohm's law

The relationship between Voltage, Current and Resistance in any DC electrical circuit was discovered by the German physicist Georg ohm.
According to ohm's law, at a constant temperature, the current is directly proportional to the voltage and inversely proportional to the total resistance of the circuit.

**I = V / R**_{ t}

****I = Current**

**V = Voltage**

**R**_{t} = Total Resistance

### What will be the current in this circuit?

By using Ohm's Law

I = V **/** R

I = 12 V **/** 10 Ω

I = 1.2 A

Clearly, current in the circuit is 1.2 Ampere.
