Torque

What is Torque

Torque is a measure of how much a force acting on an object (say a rotor) causes that object to rotate.

What is Speed

Speed is a measure of how much a force acting on an object causes that object to move from one place to another.

Torque vs Speed

Torque Speed
Ta = ΦIa N = lEa / Φ
As Flux increases, armature Torque increases. As Flux increases, speed decreases.
Torque is unconcerned of speed. Speed is concerned of Torque.
Torque is a vector quantity because torque have both direction and magnitude. Speed is a scalar quantity because Speed have only direction.
